Teri-Ann Spraetz, President is currently a member of the Clovis Hall of Fame Council as well as a Past-President of the Clovis Exchange Club, Teri-Ann has long been involved with Community organizations, where she has organized a number of civic events. Currently she serves on the Clovis Police Chief’s Advisory and was honored by the Clovis Chamber of Commerce in 2007 for her contribution to the Clovis Way of Life.
Chris Lang, Artistic Director Chris has worked with CenterStage as Technical Director since 2005. In 2011 he joined the Centerstage Board as Artistic Director. Chris is the Technical Director and Head Technician for the KCUSD's Performing Arts Theatre in Reedley, California. Chris has worked with numerous theatrical companies including Good Company Players, Cal Opera and California State University Fresno Foundation.
Tim Zundel, Treasurer has been involved in CenterStage Clovis Community Theatre since 1992 and has performed in 5 productions for CenterStage. His 4 children graduated from Clovis High School and they were active in theater both at the school and CenterStage. He has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1993 and currently serves as Treasurer.
He has been actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America in Clovis since 1985, is active in his church and has served in many volunteer capacities including Administrative and Teaching positions. He has been involved in High School athletics in both football and baseball, officiating at the varsity level. Mr. Zundel loves the Clovis way of life. He is determined to further enhance it by keeping community theater alive and well for the patrons of the arts in our community.
Penney Lowder, Secretary/Producer/Board Member Penney has been a board member and/or working with CenterStage since 2004 and has been a performer with the company since their inception in 1992. Shows include: Aunt Eller in Oklahoma, other parts in Oliver, Hello Dolly (twice), Music Man (twice), Fiddler on the Roof (twice), and others. Penney has also served as Vice President of the board and director of CenterStage Kids. She enjoys performing with her daughter, Maddie, who has been in several CenterStage productions as well.
Penney is currently an 8
th grade Language and History teacher at Clark Intermediate in Clovis Unified and works with the drama program there as well.
Dr.Terry W. Allen, Member served as a teacher and administrator with Clovis Unified for 35 years. He has been involved with CenterStage since 1999, coordinating the scholarship program and serving as its secretary for a number of years. He appeared in 1776 and The Sound of Music, both CenterStage productions. He is presently involved as a part-time instructor at CSU Fresno and is a consultant in visual arts education to CSUF student teachers, the Fresno Art Museum’s ArtSmart program, and KVPT’s “Art Is…” public television show.
Carol L. Wright, Member was one of the founding members of CenterStage and has served on the Board of Directors continuously for 17 years, and served as President for the last 7 years prior to 2013. Carol worked as a teacher in the Clovis Unified School District and currently serves on the Clovis Community Foundation Board of Directors, is involved in service in her church as well as other community projects.
Dr. Donald N. Shroyer, Member has served on the board of directors for more then a decade. He served the board as its president and as its secretary. He was employed by the Clovis Unified School District for forty-eight years as a classroom educator and educational administrator. He also has been an instructor for several universities, taught Adult Education classes and served as the Headmaster for the Fresno Montessori School. After his retirement from Clovis Unified he then served the district as a consultant and advisor, on a part-time basis, for thirteen years.
Dr. Shroyer also serves on several advisory panels including The Big Fresno Fair Education Advisory Panel, and has served on several committees for the City of Clovis. He is listed in Who’s Who in California, 1989-1994 and Who’s Who in American Education, 1989-1994, has collaborated with others in the writing of twenty-three mathematics textbooks for elementary school children as well as written articles for several educational journals.
Paul Spraetz, Member is President of the Theta Chi Alumni Corporation. Paul’s theatre involvement began in Visalia where he appeared in community productions of “Oklahoma” and “Naughty Marietta.” A director of the Clovis Chamber of Commerce, he is also Vice-President of the Clovis Historical Society as well as current Chairman of the Citizen’s Oversite Committee for the Clovis Unified School District. He is a Director of the Clovis High School Cougar Foundation and was inducted into the Clovis Hall of Fame in 2007 for his contribution to the City of Clovis.
Don Watnick, Member. Don Watnick has lived in Clovis and been actively involved in the community for more than 30 years. He currently serves as a board member of Clovis Veterans Memorial District and is a longtime member of the Clovis Exchange Club (a national service club). He also served 12 years as a Clovis Chamber of Commerce board member and continues as a member of ClovisPAC. He was the 2009 recipient of the Chamber’s prestigious Einar Cook Award for Community Leadership. Additionally, he served as a board member during the initial development of the Clovis Botanical Gardens. Recently, he served as campaign treasurer for the successful Clovis Unified School District Measure A $298 million school bond.
Mr. Watnick owned and operated Sir Speedy Printing Center of Clovis from 1988 through 2009. He was Director of Data Processing for Producers Cotton Oil Co. from 1980 through 1988. His military service included four years active duty as a lieutenant in the U. S. Navy.
Mr. Watnick earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Boston University and is married with two grown children.
Kristen Fletcher, Member. Kristen Fletcher came to CenterStage as a cast member in the 2011 production of “Hello Dolly!” and was excited to offer her services to the Board in 2012. Born and raised in the Fresno area, and participating in the rich performing arts culture of the Valley, she has always loved music, dance and the stage. She is now thrilled to support CenterStage to help bring family-friendly productions to the community, and hopes to see her two children participate when they become old enough.
Ms. Fletcher also supports Central Valley Singers, a non-profit choral organization, as
Public Relations and Recruitment Manager. She has helped to start other performing arts groups, such as One Accord, and has participated in several, including Fresno Pacific Chorale, Cantate Women’s Chorale. She worked for 3 years in Fresno and Clovis Unified Schools as an elementary choir accompanist and enjoyed helping children learn to love music. She has several years of experience as a wedding and event planner, coordinating conferences, family gatherings
and dinner events for multiple organizations in the valley. She has also worked as a teacher and youth leader in her church, for both children and teens. Kristen would not be able to give of her time without the loving support of her family, especially her wonderful husband and delightful children.
