CenterStage Clovis Community Theatre – Now Celebrating our 20th Season!

Thanks to everyone who came out and auditioned today for our 2nd Audition for BIG RIVER, and to the people who came out for our original auditions on May 5. Your patience through this process has been appreciated. We are confident all of the major roles will be filled, but we’re still missing vital pieces of our ensemble sound, notably baritone and bass.  If you know of anyone who might be interested, please direct them to us so we can arrange an audition.

We are finalizing the Cast List and will begin contacting people tomorrow evening (Sunday). The Cast List will be posted here likely sometime Monday or late Sunday evening, when we feel we have reached a good portion of the cast. Thanks everyone! We’re excited for a fantastic show!

Centerstage Clovis Community Theatre would like to announce a special 2ND Audition for BIG RIVER. Our initial auditions will not be sufficient to fill every role and a 2nd round of auditions is needed.

This special audition will take place at 9:00AM, May 19th at Buchanan High School. If you participated in today’s audition, you do NOT need to come to these special auditions. Those participating in the special audition will need to bring a memorized song and piano sheet music. There will be no dance audition for this special audition, since this is primarily focused on vocals.

Our ‘Call Back’ auditions will remain at their normal date of May 7, 6:00PM in the Buchanan High School Choir room.

Cast Listing will go up shortly after the May 19th 2ND Audition.

Directly following the 2ND Audition will be auditions for our Centerstage Kids Performance Workshop around 10:00AM.

Centerstage Clovis Community Theatre took part in the Clovis Advantage Business Show, put on by the Clovis Chamber of Commerce. The event took place on March 1, 2012 in the Veterans Memorial Building. This was a unique opportunity to meet our neighbors in the Clovis Business community. It was also a great chance to meet members of the community who had been to past productions from Centerstage but may have been unaware of our long history. Many recognized several productions from our looping slideshow, and we gave away two sets of tickets to Big River. We hope to see you at our next event!

Our 2012 production of Big River has been in development since early September, but now that we’re less than 3 months until auditions, things start to move swiftly and things become much more exciting. Directors, designers and crew people are being assigned. Backdrops have been reserved, and an all-new show logo is being developed. As we get closer to production, I’ll be sharing new updates with you.
