VOLUNTEER

Volunteer

CenterStage relies on a dedicated corps of front-of-house volunteers. As a front-of-house volunteer, your duties may include:

  • Reading tickets

  • Greeting and Taking ticket stubs

  • Directing patrons to their seats

  • Assisting patrons with special needs

  • Assisting box office operations on performance days

  • Stuffing/stocking program

The front-of-house volunteer duties may involve using the staircases so the ability to walk up and down stairs is recommended, though we’re delighted to have your help if you require special assistance.

Ushers are compensated for their work with an opportunity to see the production on the day they volunteer.

As our organization needs demand, we’d like to rely on the expertise of professional volunteers to fill other organizational roles, such as marketing support or development campaigns.

BACKSTAGE OPPORTUNITIES

Backstage Opportunities

The ‘crew’, as all backstage personnel are known, work diligently behind the scenes to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible, and knowledge of exactly how a production works is an essential part of the role.

CenterStage Clovis provides a volunteer, hands-on laboratory for aspiring stagehands and community volunteers who are interested in assisting with the unseen (but important!) technical execution of our productions.

Some of the work areas we will need help with:

  • Stage Lighting

  • Scenic Load-in

  • Performance Running Crew

  • Fly Rail Operation

  • Audio Assistants

  • Costume Assistants

  • Assistant Stage Managers

  • Talent Wranglers
