Update: Exciting Changes Around CenterStage!

In honor of CenterStage’s Instagram page reaching 100 followers, we have decided to re-vamp CenterStage’s Official Blog! This blog was created during our last summer production, “Fiddler on the Roof!”, to keep our patrons, audience members, and community up-to-date on the production process. Since then, CenterStage has created a social media team (the two people pictured), and we are thrilled to bring all of you (that’s right, YOU!) along for the ride. We will be posting frequently, and we hope that you will enjoy this inside look into the world of theatre from our perspective!

We would like to dedicate this first post to introducing ourselves:

On the left is Morgan Claiborne. Morgan first got introduced to CenterStage by being a part of the teen dance ensemble in the Summer 2014 production of “The Music Man”. Although she had actively participated in choir for many years, this was her first experience in professional theatre. Since then, she has been in the dance ensemble of “Mary Poppins” (2015) and played the role of Grandmother Tzeitel (as well as a Bottle Dancer) in “Fiddler on the Roof!”. She is a Music Education major – with an emphasis in vocal and choral music – and is currently taking classes at Fresno City College.

On the right is Camden Johnson. Camden was first introduced to CenterStage by also being part of the teen dance ensemble in the  Summer 2014 production of “The Music Man”. She has been doing theatre since elementary school, and her journey with choir started there as well. Since then, she has been in the dance ensemble of “Mary Poppins” (2015) and the dance ensemble – as well as being the tap-dancing salt shaker – in “Beauty and the Beast” (2016). She also was a recipient of the CenterStage Scholarship (you should apply for it if you can!). She is a Psychology major and is currently taking classes at Clovis Community College.

Again, we’re so excited to give this blog a makeover and we look forward to “seeing” you again!

Until next blog,

M&C
